Happy Thanksgiving! (last week)

So it's been a while since our last post, but there hasn't been TOO much exciting stuff going on until recently... and I haven't taken any pictures for a while. Richard has been up to his eyes in school and work and I am doin' the same ol' thang (a little studying, nannying, young women stuff, etc.). Life is good, nothing to complain about (but if I were to whine about anything... it would be that I just want a trip to see my fam and friends back home... Richard wouldn't mind a vacation either at this point).

Anywho. We celebrated Thanksgiving with the family last Sunday (they don't get the 4 day weekend here so Thanksgiving day wasn't so handy...). This is not a holiday I am giving up... and I assured the family here that they would be having a couple new family traditions added with me (Thanksgiving certainly being one of them).

It was way fun and everyone brought a traditional T-day dish that I assigned. We did the Turkey (and chicken because we could only get our hands on a turkey breast), green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. I got this great recipe from an English couple from church last year for stuffing a turkey to make it super juicy and have a nice flavor (we don't have a turkey deep fryer here...). It has turned out good every time, even with the breast!

We did a round of giving thanks, and it was just a great evening and everyone liked the food too (especially the desserts).
