In January I had 5 exams! I passed all of them :) 4 exams were for Dutch as a second language and the other one was for a Dutch driver's license. Getting a license here is expensive and not as easy as the driving tests in the states. They are WAY up-tight, but I can SORT OF understand why because it is a bit more busy on the road and actually a little more complicated with all the bikes and stuff. I actually failed my first try haha. Anyway, I now officially have a Dutch license and a Dutch as a second language diploma. So, now I can start school here in the fall. The funny thing, too, is that since my American license is expired I have to get an international translation of my Dutch license for driving in America haha and then if I get pulled over I have to show my American passport.
Exciting news in our families this great year is that we have (as of yesterday) 1 new nephew and 3 more nieces/nephews on the way! So exciting!
We also picked up a new hobby in the winter that has drawn us to the beach almost every weekend since February. That hobby is the extreme sport of FLYING KITES!!!! Ok, these are not just any kites.... we're talking POWER kites wahaha! But really, it's cool. Have a look.
The wind wasn't that strong at all with this video, but I guess you can get an idea.. otherwise just youtube it!
Enjoying the beach and beautiful weather... no more big jackets and gloves now :D
